Head coach of the Ukrainian national team Serhii Rebrov congratulated the Ukrainian fans on the New Year.

Just like at this time last year, it is impossible to focus on celebrating because people are dying every day in our country - from our soldiers on the frontline to ordinary civilians in their homes - directly because of Russia's actions. The massive shelling across Ukraine just two days ago, which resulted in the further loss of many innocent lives, is a further reminder of this.
As always, I would like to express my gratitude to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, volunteers and all the people who help to preserve the country's sovereignty and the safety of as many people as possible. We continue to support and believe in them and hope for the best. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Armed Forces!" Rebrov wrote on social media.
