Napoli head coach Walter Mazzarri will soon receive the much-needed strengthening of his squad. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club is close to signing Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic and right-back Pasquale Mazzocchi from Salernitana.
"The Partenopei are in talks with the player's father, Mladen, after reaching an agreement in principle with Udinese for around €20 million. The 21-year-old insists on moving to Naples.
"Napoli are also in advanced talks with Salernitana over Mazzocchi, who is seen as a backup to Giovanni Di Lorenzo at the Stadio Maradona. The Neapolitans have already raised their offer from €1.5 million to €2.5 million, but Salernitana insists on €4 million.
