London Arsenal are actively developing options in case they need to replace their Ukrainian international Oleksandr Zinchenko on the left flank of the defence.
According to The Telegraph, the Canaries are serious about the transfer of Ajax Amsterdam's young sensation, 17-year-old Jorell Hato.
This versatile defender is now regarded as one of the most promising players in the whole of Europe. Despite his young age, he is already playing consistently in the first team of his club. In the current season, the youngster has played in Ajax 25 matches in all tournaments and has one goal and two assists to his credit. Moreover, in one of the games Jorell was entrusted with the captain's armband.
Hato can play both as a centre-back and left-back. Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta sees him as a possible replacement for Zinchenko, who, despite his progress, during the current season is experiencing serious problems when playing in defence. In addition, the Ukrainian has recently suffered an injury.
Arsenal are indeed considering an early return from loan at Real Sociedad for Kieran Tierney as a 'fire-fighting' option, but the transfer of Hito is a strategic goal for the club. It is reported that Arteta certainly wants to see the young Dutchman in his team.
Let's add that Hato's current contract with Ajax runs until the summer of 2025. At the moment, the Amsterdam club is preparing a proposal for a new agreement for their talent. According to Transfermarkt, Hato's current transfer value is 22 million euros.
