Turkish football club Besiktas has officially announced the appointment of 69-year-old Portuguese Fernando Santos as the team's head coach.

The content of the agreement has not been disclosed. Instead, the names of Santos's assistants have been revealed: João Carlos Viana Cunha Costa, Paulo Jose Ramos Mendes, Justino Fernando, Ricardo Miguel Candido de Souza Santos and Jorge Manuel Caetano do Rosario.
