Belgian side Westerlo are interested in the services of Ukrainian defender of French side Strasbourg Eduard Sobol.
Eduard Sobol"Westerlo" is looking for reinforcement with experienced players to keep their place in the elite division of Belgium. Among the positions that need strengthening is left-back.
Sobol is adapted to the Belgian championship, as he played for local side Brugge from 2019 to 2022.
Interestingly, Westerlo initially wanted to sign another Ukrainian - Bohdan Mykhailichenko from Dinamo Zagreb, but such a transfer did not take place due to the Ukrainian defender's chronic knee problems. As a result, the Belgian club turned their attention to Sobol.
The main problem is the salary of the Ukrainian legionnaire. In France, Sobol earned 700 thousand euros a year. He is not ready to go to reduce his earnings in the new club.
Recall that since the beginning of autumn, former Dynamo Kyiv captain Serhiy Sidorchuk has been playing for Westerlo.
