Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe is sceptical about strengthening the team in the January transfer window.

To agree a loan deal, you need the club to agree to the deal. Newcastle's situation is such that I'm not sure we have many friends in the transfer market.
Sometimes you have to make short-term deals. Sometimes you have to give up your long-term vision and just deal with the here and now. I would be quite ready to do that if a situation arose where we could agree on something that would help us here and now. We're probably in a short-term moment right now where the team needs help in the next few weeks," Howe was quoted as saying by The Telegraph.
