Lionel Messi, the forward of American Inter Miami and the Argentine national team, was recognised as the best player of 2023 according to FIFA at a special FIFA Football Awards ceremony in London.
Lionel MessiRival 36-year-old striker in the fight for the award were Norwegian Erling Holand of English "Manchester City" and Frenchman Kylian Mbappe of Parisian PSG.
Recall, Messi also won the Ballon d'Or in 2023.
