The press attaché of the Ukrainian national team, Oleksandr Hlivinsky, expressed his opinion on Andriy Shevchenko, who will run for the UAF presidency.
"Shevchenko is undoubtedly an outstanding personality in the world of football, who is known and respected. Andriy is able to resolve important issues due to his authority. When he was the head coach of the national team, his name, among other things, helped in resolving issues related to training camps and friendly games.
As president of the UAF, Andriy Shevchenko will be able to ask UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin about his strange statements made before the decisive match with the Italians.
I think that, as a result, the authority of Ukrainian football in the world should grow. So, as you can see, the benefits are obvious. And if Shevchenko agreed to take responsibility in such difficult circumstances, we conclude that he really wants to make Ukrainian football better," Hlivinsky said.
