England midfielder Jordan Henderson has not received a single cent of his salary at Al Ittifaq, The Telegraph reports.
The experienced midfielder deliberately delayed payments to fly to England matches and avoid paying taxes. He could have earned €20 million over the six months of his contract with the Saudi club.
Yesterday, Henderson agreed with Al-Ittifaq to terminate the contract, which was originally scheduled to run until the summer of 2026. Under the agreement, the Saudi club will not pay the player any compensation.
According to insiders David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano, Henderson will officially become Ajax's new player in the near future. He has already agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Amsterdam club.
