Legendary forward of Dynamo Kyiv and Italian AC Milan Andriy Shevchenko has topped the ranking of the best Serie A footballers of the 2000s according to the famous British magazine FourFourTwo.

"Having almost led Dynamo Kyiv to the 1998/99 Champions League final, Andriy Shevchenko took the next big step in his career by moving to AC Milan in a deal worth £25 million.

"It didn't take him long to secure cult status at the San Siro as he scored 24 goals in each of his first two seasons in Serie A, where he was top scorer in the 1999/2000 and 2003/04 seasons, as well as the 2003/04 Scudetto," was how the publication commented on Shevchenko's recognition as the best Serie A player of the 2000s.
