During the Mundo Deportivo Player of the Year award ceremony, Barcelona President Joan Laporta commented on the scandalous refereeing in the 3-2 win over Real Madrid.
"What happened at the Bernabeu is a disgrace. I believe that we need to respond to the pressure that has been on the referees throughout the season," Laporta said.
During the second half, the match's chief referee Francisco Hernandez referred to VAR three times. First, he awarded a penalty for a handball by an Almeria defender, later cancelled an Almeria goal for a foul in attack, and then scored a goal by Vinicius, believing that the goal was scored as a result of a shoulder strike.
