According to journalist Nicolo Scira on his Twitter page, the 30-year-old will extend his contract with the Neapolitans, which expires in the summer of 2025, for another two years. The new agreement will provide for a salary of €3.4 million per year.
Politano rejected an offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab, who were ready to pay €24 million for Matteo's transfer. This season, the winger has played 28 matches for Napoli, scoring seven goals and providing five assists.
