Cameroon's head coach Rigobert Song did not include Andre Onana in the starting eleven for the team's decisive 3-2 African Cup of Nations group stage match against Gambia.

Onana flew directly from Manchester to Côte d'Ivoire, and the club even chartered a private jet to bring him to the competition, but he was absent from the first game of the tournament.
