On 24 January, the finalists of the English League Cup were determined. They are Chelsea and Liverpool. Thus, for the fifth time in the last 20 years, these teams will determine the fate of the winner in the domestic tournaments of Foggy Albion.

The final match of the English League Cup will take place on 25 February. Previously, Liverpool and Chelsea played each other in the domestic cup finals in the 2004/2005 (FA Cup), 2011/2012 (FA Cup), 2021/2022 (EFL Cup) and 2021/2022 (FA Cup) seasons.

Interestingly, Liverpool is the most titled winner of the English League Cup. The Merseysiders have won the competition 9 times.
