Back in June the year before last, I wrote that the best place for Andriy Shevchenko, whose coaching career in Italy was not successful, would be the position of the head of Ukrainian football. My motivation was simple and clear: Andriy Shevchenko is the only Ukrainian footballer who is known all over the world, so this global positive image should be actively used. There is no better place to do this than as the head of the national football association.
The mere presence of Shevchenko at the head of Ukrainian football will automatically add credibility to our football in the football and not only in the football world. I didn't write this because I was so clever - this idea was just hanging in the air, I just had to voice it and then implement it! And so I did!
Less than a year and a half later, this idea finally came to life. One can have different opinions about the way the head of Ukrainian football was replaced. Most likely, there was no other way. So now everything is fine with the international image of the Ukrainian Football Association. As for everything else, life will tell! I would like to hope for the best, but it certainly won't get any worse!" Neseniuk wrote on his Facebook page.
