Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp will leave the club at the end of this season, the English club's official website reports.
"I will leave the club at the end of the season. I understand that this is a shock for many people at this moment when you hear it for the first time, but obviously I can explain it - or at least try to explain it.
I love absolutely everything about this club. I love everything about the city, our fans, I love the team, I love the club staff. But the fact that I am making this decision means that I am convinced that this is what I have to do. The fact is that I am running out of energy. I don't have any problems now. Obviously, I've known for a long time that I would have to announce it one day, but now I'm absolutely fine.
After the years we've spent together, and after all the time we've spent together, and after all we've been through together, the respect for the club has grown, the love has grown, and the least I owe you is the truth - and here it is, the truth," Klopp said.
As a reminder, Klopp has been coaching Liverpool since 2015. Under the German coach, the club has won the English Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, FA Super Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
