As expected, Shakhtar Donetsk officially announced the acquisition of Brazilian Vasco da Gama midfielder Marlon Gomes. The 20-year-old Brazilian has signed a five-year contract with the Pitmen, according to Shakhtar's official website.

The Pitmen did not provide information about the transfer fee, but according to the media, Shakhtar paid €12m for Gomes, plus another €4m in the form of various bonuses.

The Brazilian played 45 matches for Vasco da Gama. He scored two goals and two assists.
