The newcomer of Zhytomyr Polesya defender Bohdan Mykhailichenko recalled a difficult period in his previous team, Dinamo Zagreb, and also told how happy he was when the option to move to his current club appeared.
"I had a tough time at Dinamo Zagreb. At first everything was good when I first moved to this club, I played in every match. But when the coach changed, then a very hard time started and I was suspended from the team. I trained either alone or with the youth team. I was not allowed to train with the first team. With the youth team I trained twice a week, because they have matches, and the rest of the time I trained by myself. It was horrible.
But I knew I had to wait for those two months and there would be some team next. I knew there would be options and that gave faith to work. There are hard times and you need to work harder, not to think about it and know that it will be better next.
The Polesie option, I was really excited about it because I had such a time back then that I was the only one going out and running around and I was waiting for someone to call me and tell me there were some options. So I was very excited about this option and I couldn't wait to come to the team.
I watched all the matches of the UPL. And what "Polesie" has done in these six months is very strong! We need to work even harder and win every game. What match of "Polesie" impressed me the most? I think, the winning one with Dynamo (3:2 - ed.).
Now I need, first of all, to gain my form, because so far I am ready for 60 per cent. And I want to become the best left-flank defender of Ukraine. And I also want to get into the national team of Ukraine. So we need to work hard," Mykhailichenko said in an interview with the club press service of Polesya.
