The authoritative Spanish publication Sport.es has published five candidates for the position of Barcelona head coach. Yesterday it became known that the current coach of the Blaugrana, Javi Hernandez, would leave the team at the end of the season.
Michelle Sanchez, Getty ImagesAccording to Sport.es, the main contenders for the Barcelona head coaching job are Thiago Motta (Bologna), Rafael Marquez (Barcelona Athletic), Giovanni van Bronckhorst (former Rangers coach), Michel Sanchez (Girona), and Imanol Alguacil (Real Sociedad).
It will be recalled that Javi Hernandez took over as Barcelona manager in November 2021. During this time, the Blaugrana became the Spanish champions and won the Spanish Super Cup.
