Shakhtar's right-back Efim Konoplya has fallen under the radar of Trabzonspor, the third team in the current Turkish Super League.
Yefim KonoplyaAccording to Sport.ua, Trabzonspor are ready to fully buy out Konoplya's contract from Shakhtar, but are not going to pay more than €2 million for the Ukrainian. "Shakhtar want to get about 3-4 million euros for Konoplya, and therefore, the bidding is expected to continue.
We cannot rule out the possibility that Trabzonspor will manage to rent Konoplya until the end of the 2023/24 season with an option or obligation to buy him out.
At the moment, in addition to Konoplya, Shakhtar have Georgian international Gocholeishvili on the right flank of the defence, and young nominal centre-back Kozik is also capable of playing there.
Konopli's agreement with Shakhtar expires on 30 September 2026. In the current season, he has played 14 games for the Pitmen, in which he scored 1 assist.
