Kairat responded to Tribuna.com 's request about the Kazakh club playing friendly matches with Russian teams.
"Kairat's approach to selecting opponents is based on an analysis of their playing qualities, which provides Kairat with useful experience and helps in building a strong, competitive team," the club said in a statement.
In February, Kairat is scheduled to play friendlies against Lokomotiv, Spartak and Rostov.
