Two players from the youth team, Matviy Ponomarenko and Taras Mikhavko, are working with Dynamo's first team at the training camp in Turkey. Both of them get regular game practice.
I really like that the first team coach's chance is not limited to just two players, but gives other players from the youth team a chance. Fortunately, the first team and the U-19s are close by.
In the match against Pakhtakor, Oleh Husiev's son Oleksii played on the right wing of the defence for the first time in a first-team match. Against Legia, Dmytro Kremchanin also got an opportunity. Andrii Matkevych played with Balkani.
All these players were born in 2005, players of the Ukrainian national team of their age. These guys will be 19 years old. We need to trust them, give them chances, motivate them. In a couple of years, each of them can become a main player in the Dynamo first team.
I think that Oleksandr Shovkovskyi will not stop there. Other young players will also get their chances in the first team. If Roman Salenko heals his injury, he will also have the opportunity to play. In the autumn, he was already in the first team squad for the match against Kolos.
Kyrylo Pashko has matured. The "new Tsygankov" has already started to stand out with his individual actions.
"The training process is very important, two-sided games. But the matches at the training camp against adult teams give the coaching staff the opportunity to assess the young players better. To what extent they are psychologically and physically able to withstand such football. And for young players, this is just a huge experience that they cannot get at the youth football level.
