- It's hard to say what's wrong. In my opinion, he is a very strong footballer with great talent, but Chelsea is not his team. There are a lot of stars with big salaries there. But I don't think Chelsea has a team. That's what makes the difference. All the individuals pull the blanket over themselves and you have to completely rebuild the team's game and earn the full trust of the coach. You need a team, not just recruiting stars and whatever. It's all about the team itself.
- I didn't make a good chance, which even Pochettino noticed. Does a player of your class have to solve such episodes?
- Well, of course, he has to do it. But this is football and anything happens here, you can miss from a metre... Against the backdrop of the team's problems and the pressure on him, not only in England but also in Ukraine. This pressure from all sides is transferred to Mudryk's actions on the field. It's a period of failure. When he is confident and the team is doing well, he will be able to take advantage of such moments.
- Mudryk is getting less and less playing time. Some experts say that this is due to a lack of practice and similar things happen on the field. The statistics are also disappointing in terms of even moving the ball forward, there are a lot of losses. So Pochettino didn't find an approach to Mykhailo either?
- Well, of course. At his age, you need to play a lot and have the coach's trust. And when the coach trusts or doesn't trust you, there will be mistakes in the player's actions. But at Chelsea, many players come out and try to prove themselves in such a difficult situation. And many of them do so, but no one succeeds. Well, this is the case with Mudryk. He is given a certain amount of time on the pitch and he wants to prove himself during this period, but nothing happens. And sometimes it happens that it's even worse. It's like a verdict on everything that happens at Chelsea. When the players play for the team and a tactic is developed, because now there is none, then only then will everything work out, when everyone does their job. And now it's like fingers and no fist. Like a vinaigrette, so there is no game.
- Why do some players not need to adapt, while others need a year? I'm talking about Dovbyk and Mudryk, respectively.
- Dovbyk got into his team, under his tactics. And the team there has a vision of the game. And here not only Dovbyk can be mentioned, but also Malinowski at Genoa. They got to the right place. Unfortunately, Mykhailo Mudryk got a little bit wrong. If the team wanted him and he wanted to go there, it could have been different. Then the adaptation would not have been so long and he could have played very quickly. In the meantime, we see that he ended up in the wrong place.
