Former Shakhtar Donetsk footballer Ihor Leonov has identified five Ukrainians who will definitely be able to play in European championships.
- The first is Sudakov. He will fit into any top team, he will play everywhere. The second is Vanat. He can also be sold anywhere. But in the Spanish championship, there are more chances for both Vanat and Sudakov to prove themselves faster. The third should be Pikhalenok. The same goes for La Liga. Rukh's Ilya Kvasnytsia, who is much talked about, should play a little bit in Ukraine for now. It's too early for him to go to Europe.
I can single out Shaparenko. Yes, he is not in form yet. But if he gets fit, he can also move to the top championship. He's a talented guy, he has all the data. But I say he needs to return to the tone he had before. Let Bondarenko from Shakhtar also play in the UPL for a while. Or we can sell Matvienko. But it all depends on him and the club. He has already spent enough time at Shakhtar. I think he will also play in any championship. There are no other candidates," the expert is sure.
