Dmytro Babeliuk, a sports doctor known for his work at Rukh Lviv, spoke about the injury to Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko.
"Arteta said that Zinchenko was replaced because of a calf muscle injury. The Arsenal coach also said it was too early to draw any conclusions, but Oleksandr felt something in his calf muscle, so he had to be replaced.
Zinchenko and the calf muscle are already a broken recorder on our channel. It would seem that the player took a long enough break before the start of the season to finally cure the problem. But, as we can see, the problem returns on the back of regular and excessive loads.
The challenge is the same: the muscle needs to gain the appropriate volume and strength. If it has even a minimal injury, the whole muscle is not working at once and there are no other structures around that can take on part of the load.
That is why this injury is so annoying and difficult to rehabilitate. We hope that this time it's not too complicated and will allow Oleksandr to play for the Ukrainian national team soon," Babeliuk wrote on his Telegram channel.
