Dynamo Kyiv responded to Tribuna.com 's request regarding the transfer of Luxembourg winger Jerson Rodriguez to Slovan Bratislava.

"The transfer of Gerson Rodriguez to Slovan Bratislava took place due to the player's personal desire and his refusal to return to FC Dynamo Kyiv, as he informed the management of our club.

We do not support the use of the pseudo-slogan "Football is out of politics" because today no athlete representing his country can be outside the political context. Russian clubs have no place in any of the world's stadiums," the statement said.

Earlier it was reported that the Kyiv club cancelled the negotiations because the Slovak team played a friendly match with Dynamo Moscow. The general director of Slovan Bratislava Ivan Kmotrik Jr. previously commented on the signing of the winger and said that "Sport should unite, not divide".
