British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, who bought a 25 per cent stake in Manchester United from the Glazer family last year, plans to renovate the club's Old Trafford stadium, the Telegraph reports.

The project will involve increasing the capacity of the stadium, which will reportedly cost Ratcliffe £800 million, with the final infrastructure investment potentially reaching £1.5 billion.
Ratcliffe intends to expand the arena's capacity to 90,000 spectators. Old Trafford currently has a capacity of 74,300.
