Today, on 8 February, the draw for the Nations League of the season-2024/25 will take place in Paris (kick-off - at 19:00 Kyiv time).
Before the draw, all participants of the tournament were traditionally distributed into baskets in accordance with the ranking of the national teams according to the results of the Nations League season-2022/23.
The Ukraine national team in the upcoming Nations League, as in the previous season, will play in the "B" division, and during the draw will be located in the second basket.

As a result of the draw, four groups of four teams each will be formed in Divisions A, B and C. Division D will be represented by two groups of three teams each.
The top two teams from each group in Division A will play the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final of the Nations League.
The teams that finish last in their groups will move to a lower division for the next season, while the group winners will be promoted to a higher division. Teams that finish third in Division A and third in Division B groups will play promotion/relegation playoffs against teams that finish second in Division B and second in Division C groups respectively.
Round 1 of the 2024/25 Nations League season will be played from 5-7 September, with the final, Round 6, to be played from 17-19 November. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals of the Nations League are scheduled for June next year, while the promotion/relegation play-offs are scheduled for March.
We would like to add that the upcoming Nations League, like the previous one, will be held without the participation of the Russian national team, which has been expelled from all international tournaments.
Vouchers for the World Cup-2026 - through the Nations League
Qualification for the World Cup-2026 in the European zone, where 16 tickets will be played, will last from March 2025 to March 2026 and will consist of two rounds.
Round 1: 12 groups of five or four national teams will play between March and November 2025 in a traditional group system. The 12 group winners will receive direct entry to the final stage.
The 12 second-placed teams and the top four UEFA Nations League 2024/2025 group winners who finish below second place in the group stage of European qualification will play a play-off for a further four World Cup berths: the 16 participants in this mini-tournament will be split into four play-off pathways of four teams each, with the winner of each pathway qualifying for the 2026 World Cup
