The Super League management is studying the option of filing a lawsuit against UEFA for the amount of 3.5 billion euros. This is reported by the publication AS.

According to the source, the bosses of the Super League are convinced that the restrictions that were the side of UEFA and its president, Alexander Ceferin, led to a delay in the start of the tournament. In turn, this has affected the financial component, namely, caused damage and deprived the potential profit.

The amount of losses, according to Super League functionaries, is in the billions of euros. A separate item is also considered the profit that could have been from the television rights to show the tournament. The amount of losses is estimated to be up to 1.2 billion euros.

But that's not all. The Super League management also considers the losses of "sponsors' contributions", implying that the financial injection could have been greater, by at least 10 per cent, if the tournament had been launched on time.

As a result, the total amount of the lawsuit reaches 3.5 billion euros.
