Last summer, before the start of the season, Shakhtar forward Bohdan Viunnik returned from loan at Sion. In the first part of the season, the 21-year-old played six games for the Orange-Blacks, in which he scored one goal.
After Shakhtar came out of holiday, there was no news about Bohdan. Nor did he take part in the friendlies, of which Shakhtar had already played five. It is logical that Vyunnik's name was not among the 30 players announced by the club for the Europa League.
According to FootBoom, Viunnik refused to train with Shakhtar and wants to terminate his contract, motivating his desire by his worries about the war in Ukraine. At the moment, the player is trying to find a club on his own (Transfermarket estimates the forward's value at 700 thousand euros). He does not respond to Shakhtar management's appeals to join the team, with which he has an existing contract.
Judging by Viunnik's Instagram, he spends his time in Saudi Arabia. In particular, he visited the match of Al-Nasr, which is headed by Shakhtar's ex-coach Luis Castro.
Shakhtar confirmed that the player is currently absent from the team's camp in Belek.
