Former Dnipro head coach Mykola Fedorenko shared his memories of how he prevented the transfer of his team's then-young midfielder Ruslan Rotan to Dynamo Kyiv.

At that time, the coach had the last word in Dnipro. They could not take or sell a player without my consent. I remember, Andriy Viktorovich even took offence at me. We would like to add that these events took place in the time period from 1999 to 2001, when Fedorenko coached Dnipro. And in 2005 Rotan moved to Dynamo.
