Former Ukraine national team player Oleh Shelayev shared his reaction to the draw for the 2024/25 Nations League, according to the results of which the Ukrainian national team got into the group with the Czech Republic, Albania and Georgia.

Among the opponents, Albanians and Georgians have recently added noticeably. I consider the latter to be the main competitors of the Ukrainians in the fight for a ticket to the Nations League. Although the same Georgians still lack stability, but they show spectacular football, and it will be interesting to play with them.
Still, in my opinion, the Ukraine national team has the best chances to move up in class. And not only because it has always successfully played with these vis-a-vis. The Ukrainians have a balanced squad, there are leaders in every line. The main thing is to avoid injuries.
However, now the most important thing is to fulfil hopes in the knockout matches in March and make it to the final part of the European Championship. And in autumn we will focus on the Nations League," Shelayev said.
