President of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Shevchenko and UAF General Secretary Ihor Hryshchenko visited Zakarpattia.
On the morning of 13 February, the UAF leaders met with the Premier League referees who are holding a training camp in the region.
During the conversation with the referee, Andriy Shevchenko stressed the need to restore the trust of the football community not only to the UAF in general, but also to the referees in particular. Next week, the UAF Executive Committee will meet to consider the first steps of the arbitration reform announced by the President at the Congress.
After that, the UAF leaders held a working meeting with the head of the regional military administration, Viktor Mykyta, which was also attended by the head of the Transcarpathian Football Association, Ivan Duran, and the deputy head of the ZAF, the head of the Transcarpathian Women's Football Association, Ihor Shynkariuk.
During the meeting at the OVA, the participants discussed, among other things, the creation of football camps in the region for children from the frontline areas.
During a visit to the Avangard Stadium in Uzhhorod, where UPL teams Minaj and Metalist 1925 play their home matches, the UAF executives discussed with the DIA chairman ways to solve the problems with lighting in the arena. In addition, Andriy Shevchenko talked to the pupils of the Spartak football school and the professional women's team Minaj and stressed the importance of developing women's football in the country.
The children were able to take a photo with the legend of Ukrainian and world football and get autographs as a memento of their meeting with Andriy Shevchenko.
