IFC Metallurg has made a difficult decision to withdraw its team from the Ukrainian Second League Championship due to financial difficulties.
The deputies of Zaporizhzhia City Council significantly reduced the funding for ME IFC Metallurg for 2024, and it became impossible to maintain both professional football teams in the frontline city after the budget cuts. Thus, it was decided to keep one professional team and disband Metallurg-2.
