"My mother lived in Avdiivka all this time, because this house is my home, of course. And my grandmother, may she rest in peace. But yes, we have always lived here, we have never left. I said: this is our home, why should we go somewhere else?

Now my family is safe. My mother left Avdiivka in May 2022. It was already very, very dangerous, and she left.

My family lost everything in Avdiivka. It's hard to explain, but I think you've seen all the pictures of other cities, like Mariupol and Bakhmut. Avdiivka is a very small town. You see and read the news, every day 50, 40 bombs are dropped there. What do you think? Not a stone is left standing there.

Of course, we have already lost everything, our apartments, I don't know what else. Around 2022, at the very beginning, there were already several arrivals - near the apartment, in the apartment, and in the house repeatedly.

We have come to terms with it a little bit, and that's it. It hurts, because these are pleasant memories. I grew up there, it's my childhood, and it's always hard to part with childhood memories. But we have to move on. We are trying to continue living in such a difficult time," Tribuna quoted Filippov as saying.
