Former Lviv head coach Anatolii Bezsmertnyi spoke to Tribuna.com about Dynamo defender Taras Mykhavko, with whom he worked at the Lviv club.
"Yes, we had a situation with a staff shortage at that time. Many were injured, many did not meet the level of the top league, so we decided to watch a young group of players from the U-19.
When I went to watch the U-19 match against Rukh, I realised that we could bring in 6-7 players. As for Taras, he immediately caught my eye. First of all, his character, then his thinking, speed, good first pass, good read of the game. He is very modest, a good guy in himself.
When we played with Chornomorets, in the 60-65th minute he had cramps. We have different speeds. But he doesn't want to change, he wants to play. These young guys have a good future.
We used him as a left-back in training, he has good speed. This position may not be alien to him either. He hasn't been used as a centre-back, but he understands the game well, perhaps because he used to play there. They say it right: "Show me your midfield and I'll tell you what kind of team you have". He has a very good outlook on the game.
He has all the data to play good football. Dynamo has good coaches who will give him the right direction. And the fact that the guy can play is only good news," Bezsmertnyi said.
