UAF President Andriy Shevchenko addressed the Italian public on the second anniversary of Russia's attack on Ukraine.
"Greetings to all Italians and greetings to my favourite city Milan. With you I have lived the best years and the best emotions in my career. But today marks two years since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
However, we all know very well that the war actually began ten years ago. I make this appeal from Kiev. My country suffers a grave injustice. We are all fighting together for values and for freedom.
Our Ukraine is in great need of support. Your help is also important. We need to take a common stand, to make our voices and yours heard even louder. Keep talking about the fact that we are in trouble. Attention must be at an all time high, no one should consider anything that the occupier does to us as normal. This is the only way we can achieve peace, which is our only goal. Thank you for what you have done and what you will do. Thank you, Italy, I love you," TMW quotes Shevchenko as saying.
