Head coach of Metalist 1925 Viktor Skrypnyk commented on his team's defeat by Dynamo in the match of the 18th round of the Ukrainian championship on UPL.TV.
Viktor Skrypnyk- Viktor, your debut match at the helm of Metalist 1925 started quite well, but ended in defeat. What are your thoughts on this meeting?
- We understood where we were playing. It must be very difficult to play against Dynamo for the first time after the winter break. We know what we have to improve our game in, but unfortunately, we have little time. Even in this match, we can find a positive for us. I congratulate Dynamo on their victory.
- Why was Denys Garmash replaced at half-time? Because of the yellow card?
- Indeed, because we know how impulsive Denys is. He talks not only to the referees, but also to the opponents and the stands. For us, he is a very successful transfer, he will help us in the future. We saw that we could be in the minority, so we replaced him. But there is no authority for him, he is an experienced footballer, so we invited him. Unfortunately, he played only 45 minutes today.
- Substitutions in the second half. Did you still want to get a positive result?
- We look only at ourselves, today we played against a very powerful team. But if we stood only in our own penalty area and fought back, it would not be football. We want to play and we are positive about the future.
- Don't conceding goals bother you?
- How many goals did we concede before? I like that we are not afraid to play, we play forward, to attack. Again, we know that we need to improve.
