The nominees for the Laureus Sportsman of the Year award have been announced. The press service of the award published a list of six nominees on its social media:
Lionel Messi, Getty Images- Lionel Messi (Inter Miami and Argentina footballer);
- Erling Holland (Manchester City and Norway footballer);
- Novak Djokovic (Serbian tennis player);
- Armand Duplantis (Swedish pole vaulter);
- Noah Lyles (American track and field athlete);
- Max Verstappen (Dutch race car driver).
Last year, Lionel Messi was named Laureus Athlete of the Year, and the year before that, Max Verstappen was named Laureus Athlete of the Year.
