The president of Kharkiv's Metalist 1925, Volodymyr Nosov, told us why he chose Viktor Skrypnyk as the team's new head coach.

We understood that in order to achieve our goals, our team needed a coach who, firstly, understands the Ukrainian mentality and football realities. And secondly, he has undoubted consistency and practice in Europe. In the case of Viktor Skrypnyk, we got much more - a specialist with really great results, because in a short time he led Zorya and Vorskla's second team to the cup competitions.
For me, this is an absolute match. I have confidence in him, and I believe that he is the right person to help Metalist 1925 represent Kharkiv in the Champions League. He is a Ukrainian with a Ukrainian mentality, but with a European outlook and experience," Nosov told the club's press service.
