As Sport.ua has learned, the deficit of about 2 million euros in the UAF budget is only an unofficial result of an audit of the financial activities of this public organisation conducted by a foreign audit company.
According to the source, it may be even higher, but the exact amount can only be revealed after the official documents are released. The audit verdict is expected in April.
The sources of funding for the UAF are different - from sponsorship income to UEFA funds. And the new UAF president, Andriy Shevchenko, who, after being elected, stressed the need to restore trust and respect for this organisation, must first of all take care to provide UEFA with comprehensive information on how its money was used. After all, it is difficult to imagine the functioning of the UAF without UEFA's income.
Although in the event of official confirmation of the "hole" in the UAF budget, law enforcement agencies will be needed to identify those responsible.
Earlier it was reported that after the audit, the UAF's budget deficit was two million euros.
