UEFA announced its decision to impose on Slovakian Slovan Bratislava a ban on any transfers until the end of 2025. And this news is directly related to Dynamo Kyiv.
Gerson RodriguezUEFA did not specifically explain why such a decision was made, but according to the Slovakian media, it may be related to Slovan's debt to their former player Vernon De Marko. In any case, the Slovak club will be able to acquire new players only from January 2026.
Recall, not so long ago, the striker of Dynamo Kyiv Jerson Rodriguez moved to Slovan on loan until the end of the current year (this transfer, by the way, was the last for Bratislava before the imposition of the UEFA ban). At the same time, the Slovakian club made no secret of their intention to buy the transfer rights to this 28-year-old player after the end of his loan, but now this option has become unavailable to Slovan.
Thus, at the end of 2024, Rodriguez will be forced to leave Slovan and return to Dinamo, with whom he is contracted until the summer of 2025.
