Bayern Munich bosses have held their first talks with Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso, Sky Sport Germany reports.
Xabi Alonso, Getty ImagesAccording to a source, the Munich team managed to establish contact with Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso. The Spaniard's first response was positive. The negotiations are currently ongoing.
Munich understands that for Alonso's transfer, they will have to pay Bayer a compensation of 15-20 million euros. The €15 million buyout clause will only come into effect in the summer of 2025.
We would like to add that after 24 rounds, Bayer leads the standings. The Leverkusen team has 64 points, 10 points ahead of Bayern Munich.
