On Thursday, 7 March, in the match of the 20th round of the Ukrainian championship Dynamo Kyiv drew with Rivne-based Veres with the score 1:1. The meeting was held in Rivne at the stadium "Avangard". Here is the post-match press conference of the head coaches of the teams.
Oleksandr SHOVKOVSKY, Dynamo head coach:
- It is unpleasant to lose points at the end of the match. In general, today I did not see the desire I expected from our players.
Unfortunately, we did not finish this match, although we understood that at the end of the match the opponents would put pressure on our goal, we expected "pressure". Nevertheless, even so, we should have finished the match more calmly. However, it is what it is.
I will not say anything about individualities. The team wins, the team wins, the team draws. Today we had a small bench, we could not change much in the midfield. Brazhko was disqualified, Yarmolenko, Buyalsky, Tsarenko, Supriyaga could not play. We were limited in the choice of performers. But the rest of the players were in the clip, and they had to play more confidently.
In the first half, we managed to score a goal quite quickly, we controlled the ball, but then over time we somehow gave the initiative to the opponent, allowed him to play more relaxed. As for the substitutions, some of the guys entered the game successfully, some - not. But, unfortunately, in the last minutes of the match, unfortunately, what happened happened.
- What can you say about the moment with the penalty?
- I haven`t watched the replay of this moment yet, so I can`t comment.
- Was the goal to score a quick goal and then hold the centre of the pitch and act on the counterattack?
- It is difficult for me to imagine a coach who would give such a set-up for the game. Today we did not look like ourselves. I say it frankly. Therefore, to some extent, the result is logical.

- It's nice for the guys. And it's nice for our fans - I think they saw good football, which they liked. We saw their reaction. I would like to thank them for their support.
- In the second half was it Veres that forced Dynamo to play like that, or did the rival give the initiative?
- The goal in our gates was very quick. Moreover, after our 100% goal moment. Therefore, we were a little disappointed. But the team believed until the last that they could save the game. And even more - they believed in the victory. In this desire we did not concede to Dynamo at least.
Today we had a game with the flagship of Ukrainian football, and to expect any points, we had to show our best game. Perhaps, we managed to do it today. I hope that today's match will be a positive impetus for us.
Any victory in the UPL is important for the coach. But I grew up on Dynamo, I have been rooting for this team since childhood. Therefore, I wish it good luck and victories in the future.
