As previously reported, Spanish side Girona are eyeing two midfielders of Shakhtar Donetsk - Georgiy Sudakov and Artem Bondarenko. However, there is no talk that the Catalans have started to take any steps to realise these two transfers.
According to ElNacional, the Girona management promised their head coach Michel that the club will try to buy Sudakov and Bondarenko on one condition: if the team qualifies for the Champions League at the end of the current season.
To solve such a problem "Girona" needs to be in the top four of the final standings of the Spanish championship. Now the team Michela is in third place, ahead of the fifth "Athletic" on as many as nine points.
The source also reports that Sudakov "Girona" estimates Sudakov in 15-20 million euros. In his person the coaching staff of the team sees a replacement for Ivan Martin, who has recently sharply deteriorated his performance.
As for Bondarenko, Girona's interest in him is due to the fact that the club have virtually no opportunities to keep Pablo Torre, who is on loan from Barcelona until the end of the season. The Ukrainian midfielder caught the eye of the Catalans' coach Micheal during Shakhtar's matches against Barça in the Champions League. Girona hope to pay no more than €10m for Bondarenko.
