"Arsenal have had a near perfect start to 2024, but their goal-scoring form since the start of the year has raised questions about their stability. The team suffered a 0-2 defeat to Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in their first match of 2024 in the FA Cup. Despite this setback, Arsenal managed to make an amazing comeback. In the English Premier League, Arsenal have made it seven consecutive victories. However, in the Champions League, they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Porto.

Among the significant victories in the championship of England - matches with Newcastle United (4:1) and Sheffield United (6:0). Thanks to these victories, Arsenal are firmly in the race for the title. With ten matches remaining, they are potential league leaders.

Arsenal's goal scoring statistics over the last seven APL matches are simply astounding. "The Canaries" have scored 31 goals, an average of 4.4 goals per game. This far exceeds the expected goals (XG) figure of 19 or 2.7 per match. This +12 excess over XG makes it questionable whether this rate of performance can be sustained.

If we compare the seasonal figures, before this series, Arsenal had scored 37 goals in twenty matches. After this impressive streak, their goal tally has risen to 68 in just seven matches - 45% of all goals this season have been scored in these last few matches alone.

If we look at the statistics for the league as a whole, Arsenal tops the table with the highest rate of exceeding expected goals (+8.5). In second place is Tottenham with a ratio of 5.4.

In terms of comparing form in the league, Arsenal have won 100 per cent of their last five matches, scoring 24 goals and conceding just two. Nearest rivals: "City" is 13 points behind, "Aston Villa" and "Liverpool" - a little less, but "Villa" has an advantage of +8 goals.

Arsenal face some serious challenges with a trip to Manchester City at the Etihad, hosting Aston Villa at the Emirates and a North London derby battle with Tottenham. Given the presence of such formidable opponents, there are doubts as to whether Arsenal can maintain their impressive form.

Despite concerns about the team's resilience due to overachieving, if Arsenal continue on their current trajectory, they have a good chance of winning the title.
