In the long-awaited match of the Premier League, Polesie met with Alexandria at the Central Stadium. The match was filled with drama and excitement, both teams gave their best to achieve victory. In the first half "Alexandria" took the lead thanks to M. Mykhailenko's goal on the 10th minute.
Polesie tried to get back, but failed to hit the goalpost. The first half ended with the score 0:1 in favour of Oleksandriya. At the beginning of the second half Polesie made two early substitutions, releasing Talles Costa and V. Hrytsuk in an attempt to turn the tide of the match. However, "Alexandria" struck again, doubling the advantage thanks to A. Shulyanskyi's goal in the 78th minute. Polesie did not give up and managed to get back thanks to A. Kozak's penalty in the 62nd minute. Despite all their efforts, they failed to equalise and the match ended with the final score 1:2 in favour of Oleksandriya. The game was not without cards: several players from both teams received yellow cards throughout the match. In the 83rd minute the situation changed for the worst for Polesie: Lucas Taylor received a red card and Alexandria were left with ten men for the rest of the match. In the last minutes of the game "Alexandria" made several substitutions to achieve the victory: D. Kostyshyn and D. Shostak came on the field to help to finish the game. Overall, it was a tense match between two competitive teams, and Alexandria ended up with a well-deserved victory. Fans of both teams can expect more interesting matches in the Premier League as the season progresses.
