Ney Alves, the brother of former Barcelona, Sevilla and Brazilian national team defender Dani Alves, commented on rumours of his suicide in prison.
Dani Alves"How cruel are people? You have already convicted him for the words of a woman who went into the men's room to do something that only she knows. Isn't that enough? He's in prison. And now you want to see him dead, that's crazy. You want to see my brother dead. How cruel is that?" Ney Alves said.
On 9 March, in the evening, social media reported that the Brazilian had committed suicide in prison. There was no official confirmation of this.
