On Monday, 11 March, Dynamo Kyiv met Zorya Luhansk as part of the 21st round of the Ukrainian Youth Championship. This match was a home match for our team and took place on one of the fields of the Bilo-Syni's country club base in Koncha Zaspa. It is worth noting that in the previous rounds, Dynamo scored 48 points and took first place in the standings. Zorya was in 9th place with 26 points.

The match was watched from the stands by the head coach of the national team of Ukraine Serhii Rebrov, as well as representatives of the first team coaching staff led by Oleksandr Shovkovskyi.
Dynamo started the match actively, with Ponomarenko striking the first shot at the opponent's goal, but hitting the net from the outside. From the very first minutes, our guys moved the game to the opponent's goal, made sheds from the flanks and made passes from the corner. Zakharchenko tried to close one of them from the penalty spot, but the ball ended up in the goalkeeper's hands after his shot. On another occasion, Matkevych shot at goal, but the Zorya goalkeeper again helped out by jumping to clear the ball for a corner.
In general, the threat to the visitors' possession arose regularly, but for a while Zorya's defence coped, and Nabit did not make any mistakes. Despite the large number of dangerous chances, Kyiv lacked the final shot. Kremchanin was close to scoring. He took a free kick from 21 metres out in the centre of the goal, but the goalkeeper was able to react and knock the ball out in a leap.
The only dangerous moment at Surkis' goal came after a free kick - Dzyuba responded to Bairuk's cross, but his header went just over the top. As a result, the teams went into the break without scoring.
At the beginning of the second half, Luhansk tried to seize the initiative and pushed the game away from their goal for a while, but Kyiv soon regained control of the game. It was still hot at the other team's goal, and the visitors' goalkeeper had to regularly come into play. However, he was powerless when, during one of Dynamo's attacks, Kremchanin passed the ball a little further to Gusev in the visitors' penalty area, and the latter shot to Osipenko on the right, who made a touch and made no mistake - 1-0.
Soon after, Lobko missed a good opportunity - our striker was only momentarily ahead of the goalkeeper, who took the ball at his feet. Bilyi barely managed to close the ball to the far post. Meanwhile, at the opposite goal, Surkis had to come into the game, successfully reacting to an opponent's shot from the right. But the hosts controlled the game. Dopre fired a low shot into the penalty area by Matkevych, and Lobko struck a dangerous but inaccurate shot on goal. But despite all the efforts, the score did not change until the final whistle.
In the end, Dynamo won 1-0.
It should be noted that after the matches of the 21st round, the U19 championship will have a pause due to the matches of national teams of different age categories. Dynamo U19 will play their next match in the Ukrainian Youth Championship on Saturday, 30 March, away to Vorskla (Poltava).
