Former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich may buy a new football club from the top flight.
According to As, the Russian billionaire is interested in buying Valencia. Fans of the Spanish team hope that with a possible change, the club's situation will improve significantly. The current owner of Valencia, Peter Lim, tried to sell the club to Abramovich two years ago for 250 million euros, and the club's debts amounted to the same amount.
As a reminder, Abramovich has owned Chelsea since 2003. Following the sanctions imposed on Russian oligarchs in 2022 over the war in Ukraine, the businessman was forced to sell the English club. Under Abramovich's ownership, Chelsea became the English champion five times in 19 years, won the FA Cup five times, the League Cup three times, the FA Super Cup twice, the Champions League and Europa League twice, and the UEFA Super Cup.
